Painted Buntings perched in a Chickawaw plum tree are a great combination. This image taken 8May2009 at Red River NWR Headquarters Unit in northwest Louisiana. In early May, the plums are not quite ripe.
About Ronnie Maum
Nature photography is my passion. I've been shooting seriously for about the past 10 years. My favorite subjects are birds, mammals and insects. As the opportunity arises, I also enjoy landscapes and sunrises and whatever else happens to catch my eye. Red River National Wildlife Refuge is where I spend a great deal of time throughout the year using my photography to document wildlife sightings. The Visitor Center at Headquarters Unit in Bossier City, LA incorporated many of my images taken on the Refuge into their displays.
