Sometimes you only have to go as far as your own backyard to find a pretty photo opportunity. The Clematis shown here is from my backyard. During the winter we just know the plant has died, but each spring the greenery emerges and eventually we have the beautiful flowers shown here. This particular image was taken 11April2013.
About Ronnie Maum
Nature photography is my passion. I've been shooting seriously for about the past 10 years. My favorite subjects are birds, mammals and insects. As the opportunity arises, I also enjoy landscapes and sunrises and whatever else happens to catch my eye. Red River National Wildlife Refuge is where I spend a great deal of time throughout the year using my photography to document wildlife sightings. The Visitor Center at Headquarters Unit in Bossier City, LA incorporated many of my images taken on the Refuge into their displays. I've authored several photobooks about Red River NWR ("Discovering Louisiana's Red River National Wildlife Refuge A Yearlong Photo Journey" and "Refuge Encounters of the Bird Kind.. and Other Species Too").
