One of my all time favorite images. This Bald Eagle was photographed at Chilcat Eagle Preserve near Haines, Alaska on 19July2010. We were on an Alaskan inside passage cruise and had taken a shore excursion. For handheld while sitting in a boat, I thought the image turned out great!

Nature photography is my passion. I've been shooting seriously for about the past 10 years. My favorite subjects are birds, mammals and insects. As the opportunity arises, I also enjoy landscapes and sunrises and whatever else happens to catch my eye. Red River National Wildlife Refuge is where I spend a great deal of time throughout the year using my photography to document wildlife sightings. The Visitor Center at Headquarters Unit in Bossier City, LA incorporated many of my images taken on the Refuge into their displays.
